A bit about us

NPR Building Concepts is a family owned and operated custom home building specialist. NPR was founded in 1995 in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. NPR is a multi HIA award-winning company, Green Smart certified.

Only a few years after our director, Nicholas completed his apprenticeship, Nicholas then completed further study to become a registered domestic and commercial builder.

And many other trades that contract to us as required for each project that all meet the quality & attitude that we expect at NPR.

A bit about Nick

Nick began his carpentry apprenticeship in 1988, during this time he gained a wide range of aspects of carpentry, including commercial shop fit outs to domestic builds. Nick was lucky to have good role models and teachers during this time helping to form the knowledgeable & authentic person he is today.

At age 26 Nick completed further studies to gain his Domestic Unlimited & Commercial Builders registration.

Nick has a high integrity for the industry and all that he does. He has been involved with the HIA Housing Industry Association Awards since 2009 and enjoys the part he takes in this role. In 2010 Nick was invited to join the HIA Judging pannel, and still continues to do so today in a variety of different categories and classes. Nick is very passionate about high quality workmanship and is very proud of all of the homes we have created for our clients.

Outside of work, Nick loves family life, camping particularly in the Outback, 4 wheel driving, drinking coffee and his Harley being his pride & joy and doesn’t shy away from an episode or two of Outback Truckers.

Nick is a kind and compassionate person, who is genuinely interested in everyone he meets, he is very well respected by his peers in the industry and is always striving for more and to be better within himself and business.  

Charlie

A bit about Charlie

Charlie is our newest member to join our team he began his apprenticeship with us in 2019. Charlie is a passionate Carlton supporter and prides himself on his strong physique, piercing eye’s and good sense of humour.

Charlie certainly has some spunk about him with his cheeky nature but gets on well with all of the boys and is having no troubles adapting to the tradie life.

Harry

A bit about Harry

Harry joined us eary 2022, as a mature age 1st Year Apprentice Carpenter. Harry has been a great asset to our team, as he also has a passion for Football, playing for the VFL league in Coburg. Harry has a great sense of humor, and gets along great with the rest of the team!

Renee Ralph

A bit about Renee

Renee has been working in the building industry for over 20 years, to her credit Renee has won the Housing Industry Association award for Business Partner of the Year, she also has a flair with design & colours which is quite helpful for our clients, especially turning a renovation or new custom build in to the next level of living.

Renee is a big part of the day to day of operations with running the office duties, communicating with sub-contractors & clients.

Erin
ErinOffice Admin
A bit about Erin

Erin joined our office team in 2021, keeping the meaning of a family owned business close, Erin is Nick & Renee’s youngest daughter and has been a welcomed contribution to our office, with her bubbly personality and positive & confident attitude, she has adapted well to working alongside her Mum & Dad and especially loves  ‘Friday, bring your doggies to work day’

Erin has also recently completed her Certificate III in Business, and is currently studying Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, as a part of gaining work/life experience before joining the police force!

Jase

A bit about Jase

Jase has been with NPR Building Concepts since he began his apprenticeship in 2004, he is now one of our site supervisors and a quality carpenter.

We have loved watch Jase grow from a young quiet ‘Hot Chocolate’ drinking boy into a competent qualified carpenter, running projects and training up and coming apprentices. Jase is hard working & passionate about his job and is a huge part of the NPR team.

Jase loves sport, footy in particular, both playing for local clubs himself and a passionate Hawthorn supporter. He has a beautiful lady in his life and 2 gorgeous young boys who often pop into our office for a visit and a bikkie.

Kane
Kane2nd Year Apprentice
A bit about Kane

Kane joined our team in 2021, 6 months into his 1st Year of his Carpentry Apprenticeship. Kane is a great contribution to our team, fitting in nicely with his good sense of humor, passion for sports and his love for the tradie life!

In Kane's spare time some of the things he likes to do is, donate his time to coaching under15s footy and hanging out with his mates.

Bill
BillQualified Carpenter
A bit about Bill

Bill joined the NPR team in 2018 as a 2nd year apprentice, Bill is certainly the quietest of the bunch, Bill is quiet in his nature and very placid and easy going along with being a very punctual and conscientious.

Bill enjoys footy, basketball and going to the movies and is looking to buy his first house, so very exciting times ahead.

Bailey
Bailey4th Year Apprentice
A bit about Bailey

Bailey joined us in 2021, as a 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter. Bailey is a very Confident, Happy young man, who love's his sports and gym! Just as much as he love's heading out with his mates to the pub! Bailey loves cars and enjoys spending his time adding accessories and modifications to his car!

NPR Building Concepts works with you firstly to ascertain your scope of works & budget.

So that your building project is stays within your budget we use our unique 4 stage pricing process to make sure nothing is missed, and the price is accurate. Then we adhere to our word with a fixed price contract (no nasty surprises).  Variations that you want through the project will be priced & sent to you for your approval before any works will begin so you remain in total control of your budget.
